Does the Media have the Right to lie, distort, omit, censor, collude, conceal or otherwise obstruct news, public corruption and the administration of justice? Or participate in the obstruction of justice?

Terrance Smith, the media commentator on Public Television's Jim Lehrer news hour, addressed the recent controversy over the President George W. Bush's Air National Guard documents and the credibility of CBS, Dan Rather and the others involved in that controversy.

It is no national security secret that more than any ever in our history, the American public distrusts, dislikes.despises and damns both the corporate and alternative media --those are the politically correct public TV, print and radio media.

Increasingly, the public see and navigates through the fog of misinformation, the media's lies, the media's distortions and the media's omissions.It is unequivocally clear that much of the corporate, legal reporting, alternative and underground media have an agenda. That agenda is not to promote the general welfare and raise the level of the public's awareness-quite the contrary!

When a news issue or story suits the fancy or promotes the agenda of the corporate electronic and print media, the media's publishers, editors and writers do expose political and judicial corruption as well as abuse inflicted under the title of the color of authority. The recent and continuous documented exposes of the infamous Abu Nhagrib Prison humiliation and physical abuse is an example of what excellent, ethical, competent and real journalism should always be.

But increasingly, in other news issues and stories, what America and the world witnesses is grossly biased, unethical, dishonest and incompetent reporting.That reporting is also replete with lies, distortions and omissions.

One of the worst examples in American media is what California's readership is saddled with. Although San Francisco and the Bay Area of California comprise the fourth or fifth largest media markets in the US, the California media's news reports and publication of abuse, corruption, conflict of interest, sexual preference agendas is negligible unless Roman Catholic Priests are involved.

When politicians such as Governor Neil Goldschmidt, and judges are involved in judicial corruption, bribery, pedophile, sexual harassment and perversion etc,.news reporting by Bay Area media ranks among the worst and last in credibility. The sexual abuse,sexual harassment and sexual predator scandals involving San Francisco county Judges James Warren, Ann Bouilane, Philip Moscone, Kevin McCarthy, Richard Kramer, Jack Berman,Ms. Baxter,Kevin V. Ryan and Robert Dondero are blatant cover-ups that are documented in federal court records that were censored by San Francisco's media.

Greg LeFebreve, CNN'-CABLE NEWS NETWORK'S San Francisco Bureau Chief stated to sailor Nary's legal representative:"the reason he(Steven Nary)is having so much trouble with this case, is because of all of the politicians that are involved." All of the judges involved in the Daniel Alas, Eric Manganan, Steven Nary and Edgar Mora cases are known as politically connected and"Gaylords." In Cook County, corrupt judges are known as "Greylords." And their judicial and political corruption is reported and updated by Chicago's Media.

Media critics think that if Jason Blair, the creative fiction news writer worked for the San Francisco Chronicle--San Francisco Examiner(Hearst), Bay Guardian or some of the other politically and sexually correct west coast Media, Blair would still be working for them, and writing creative news fiction.

Even the one time Bay Guardian***, an alternative weekly newspaper, and self proclaimed "hell raiser," censors corruption when their political pets and friends are implicated and involved. Among the Guardian's cover ups included HUD Affordable Housing real estate racketeer developers and other 501c-3s non accountability for federal funds. This scandal is part of the estimated sixty five billion dollars missing from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development's Community Development Block Grants.

In 1988, in a small article authored by Jim Balderston--a real journalist--, the Bay Guardian did publish VERITAS USA's publisher's meeting on this whistleblower case with the US Attorney. But since then, that alternative paper has published nothing substantive on the 501 c-3 HUD and non taxpaying organization corruption and the irrefutable growing and rampant RICO corruption in these federal programs.

Bruce Brugman, the owner of the Guardian, and its editor, Tim Redmond has also censored any news item and issue involving the political and district attorney corruption and rigging of cases involving

***Chris Daly, a political wantabe SDSER-Students for Democratic Society, whose snits, temper fits and tantrums illustrate how the San Francisco'sCity government has become the playpen, kitty litter and sandbox of political flotsam, who have drifted up here to bicoastal California.

Some of these political flotsam, like City Official Chris Daly live like land barons in publicity funded subsidized housing and condos. Daly's illegal condo at 101 Valencia in San Francisco was built with HUD and other public funds. But this fact remains censored in the San Francisco and Bay area media.

Chris Daly, a public official, Mary Helen Rodgers, a public housing administrator, Jim Jefferson a public official, Al Borvice, a subsidized housing developer and owner, Garrett Jenkin a wantabe politiican ,Gordon Chin a public official and subsidized housing director, and Antonio P, Garcia and his family of Filipino expatriate goons are among many others, who illegally flourish and profit In these federal programs. But no media dare menition their names,their illegal activities and their abuse of tenants, even when court cases are filed.. That abuse spans from attempted assasinations, to pedophiles, who are sheltered in HUD's subsidized housing projects in Northern California.

Accountability is not in these media people, politicians and HUD funded recipient's vocabulary. And they personally don't practice accountability.

A federal Drug Enforcement official, also formerly involved in the media, made this observation to VERITAS USA: " If Watergate happened in San Francisco, Nixon would still be president......If Art Agnos were mayor and a HUD official in any other major media market, or city in America,the press would be all over him."

A former US Department of Justice Official remarked to VERITAS USA,I in the opinion of the media's severest critics,the awards that these media sometimes get, "aren't worth the recycled charmin that they are printed on.

The 'Bleeting about BALCO" is an example of some media 's blatant hypocripsy. In San Francisco's City Hall Press room, some media people were smoking pot and snorting white powder--it wasn't powdered sugar or baking soda.

"It isn't what the media publishes and receives these controversial awards for; but WHAT THEY DON'T PUBLISH,WHAT THEY DO PUBLISH AND WHAT THE MEDIA COVERS UP, CENSORS, DISTORTS LIES ABOUT AND CONCEALS!

The personal connections of major media people--news editors, corespondent,bureau chiefs and others--the very people that they publicized in their press--to politicians, judges and other facilitators also diminish and destroy media people's credibility and integrity.

Political corruption flourishes in cities like San Francisco because the media, which takes bribes in any form-money,---HUD funded low mortgage condos,-- also allows its reporters and editors to be censors or be intimidated and bullied.

And if they weren't buggered they certainly have embraced the sexual preference agenda that has infected and contaminated nearly every segment of our society.

Some media people who aren't being bullied and buggered,try to bully whistleblowers,citizens, individuals and other public officials

Recently John Diaz, the homosexual editor of the SF Chronicle's editorial pages was accused of threatening Angela Alioto, the daughter of the late Mayor Joseph Alioto, the controversial lawyer and vice presidential aspirant in 1968. Garcia's threat was especially intriguing,since the late Joseph Alioto was accused of being involved with the Italian Mafia. Old Joe always denied those accusations.

The( New) San Francisco Examiner was the only California and Bay Area media that published Diaz's threats against Angela Alioto. In one of his last interviews with VERITAS USA,Mayor, Ambassador and business executive George Christopher specifically named Diaz as one of the problems entangling the San Francisco Chronicle in the sexual preference agenda ."Damn homosexuals have ruined that paper."

Craig Marine, another San Francisco media person-SF Examiner-Chronicle was recently convicted of luring, drugging and sexually molesting ala Juan Pifarre--and transporting an under aged child across state lines-- to Utah of all places.

In the worst military-civilian miscarriage of Justice since the Captain Alfred Dreyfus case, Philip Bronstein covered up the multiplicity of egregious violations,in the Hallinan-Ryan illegal prosecution of sailor Nary.

During US Navy Fleet week in October 1999, Brontein published this version of "don't ask and don't wanta tell" depiction of the US Navy, which the San Francisco Chronicle used from San Francisco's June 1999 Gay Pervert Parade.

After Fleet week,Kevin V. Ryan,the corrupt San Francisco judge illegally prosecuting the case, invited the media-Elizabeth Fernandez, Jaxon Van Der Beken, Dennis Opatrny, Kathy Szymanski,Johnny Brannon and CUAV-NAMBLA, --Jennifer Rakowski which was covering and influencing the kangaroo court case, to go to lunch with his jurors. Ryan was picking up the "nice lunch tab."It was not disclosed, who in the media went with Ryan's jurors to that "nice lunch." Or where that nice lunch was served. Or what was served.

The media people participating in the Ryan-Hallinan's kangaroo court trial also covered up that gross misconduct of then Judge Kevin Ryan These irrefutable facts are documented in the federal district court and federal appellate cases that Bronstein also censored in his newspapers, the Old San Francisco Examiner and the San Francisco Chronicle. As executive editor, Bronstein censored every abuse inflicted by Hallinan, Huberman, Farrell and Ryan on sailor Steven Nary and Nary's attempts for due process in US District and US Federal Appellate court in the 9th federal circuit.

Even worst,in his role as editor of the old Hearst owned San Francisco Examiner, Bronstein also covered up the San Francisco civil court judgments and the amounts over a quarter of a million dollars levied against Reverend Amos Brown, for his role in the sexual misconduct and sexual abuse of young black girl students. Amos is a controversial politically connected black preacher-politician, who controls San Francisco's Third Baptist church.

Recently,Brown was also named by Mayor Gavin Newsom to sit ala Reverend. Jim Jones, on the San FranciscoPublic Housing Authority, one of the most corrupt and mismanaged HUD financed public housing opearations in America.

Bronstein also covered up the unanswered questions about the Ethiopian refugee boys, who were also abused at Brown's church and school. Amos also illegally received a publicly financed contract to presumably assist these poor black African refugees. But Amos has never accounted for those federal funds.--he answers only to God.

As further evidence of the San Francisco media's contempt for equal treatment and due process treatment of the coverage of accused Roman Catholic pedophile clergy, Bronstein and the Hearst owned SF Examiner endorsed Amos Brown to be a city/county supervisor for San Francisco City and County.

Critics asked Bronstein this question that remains unanswered:" would Bronstein and the other media morons have endorsed Amos Brown if he were a white Roman Catholic priest, named Aloysius Brown? Or if the baptist preacher was in the pedophilic shoes,cassock and roman collar of Roman Catholic Fathers Geoghan, Shanley or O'Shea?

Interestingly, Philip Bronstein and Dennis Opatryny recently surfaced on ATKOL, a major male prostitution genre website that specializes in targeting young military recruits and illegal spycamming invasion of privacy of young males. Political Cognoscente ask:" Is this SanFrancisco's version of (Jeff) Gannogate?'

Critics also ask:" is this relationship one of the reasons that these two participated in the judicial sodomy of sailor nary? Edgar Mora? Daniel Alas?

The American public and the world should realize that public corruption not only infects politicians, judges,and the non taxpaying 501-c 3 profit sector. But Public Corruption also infects the media whether electronic, print, corporate, legal, court reporting news or alternative, male prostitution and underground press.

Some of the corrupt mouthpieces in the media claim that they have special rights and privileges because of 'who they are,' not 'what they do or who they try to do!'

In America's past history, media people who were corrupt or who offended public morals, were horse whipped, tarred, feathered and run out the town on a rail-- put on the next train out of town before the sun set.

Given some of the practices and proclivities of some of today's media flotsam, they'd probably enjoy the flogging. These morally repulsive practices are well documented at the increasingly notorious yearly Gay Parade and Folsom Street sado-masochist street pervert fairs that contaminate the social fabric of San Francsico City and County.

Some corrupt media people such as Morris Lavine, of the Hearst owned Los Angeles Examiner--now defunct--were caught up in the 1920's public corruption investigations that engulfed and entangled major Los Angeles politicians and real estate developers. One would be untouchable was the late father of H. R. Halderman, of Watergate infamy.Morris Lavine was another lawyer, who thought he was untouchable but nevertheless was bagged, tried and sentenced to six years in San Quentin Prison for his role in the Great Los Angeles real estate Swindle.

Jake Lingle, a corrupt Chicago newsman, who rarely if ever news reported, secretly worked for Al Capone. When Lingle was no longer useful to the Mafia, Capone had Lingle murdered. An accurate depiction of Lingle's murder is in the first black and white cinema noir Al Capone film that starred Rod Steiger as Al Capone:Martin Balsam depicted Jake Lingle.

When Lingle's safe deposit box was opened, thousands of dollars was found: this discovery was very strange for a reporter, who made little money working for the Chicago Tribune, Chicago's major daily newspaper.

Lingle was buried in Mount Carmel, a surburban Chicago expensive Roman Catholic Cemetery or Boot Hill for the mafia and their associates.. There in Mount Carmel along with Al Capone, Lingle rests but without his loot.

Media people, who are corrupt, are no different in their corruption than public officials, politicians, judges, lawyers,businessmen and women.

It appears that the only news alternatives for concerned Americans is the radio, intenet--satellite radio talk shows, such as Bill Brumbaugh's Proactive News**, and other honest talk show hosts.

Another credible alternative, is the Internet, its blogs,exposes and the few domestic creditable alternative news sources such as Cspan,Link TV, Pro Active News and other alternative news sources! Some of these options may be left wing but so far they are comprehensive and fair in their coverage.Or try to be.

Foreign news media alternatives that are available and broadcast in the english language on America's cable and satellites are the BBC, CANADIAN BROADCASTING,and the German News Channels. These news mediums are ARD, ZDF and Deutsche Welle. GERMAN TV's programming includes quality news programs like "Tagesschau," the longest running No.1 news show in Germany, engaging talk shows, documentaries

Some Arab TV networks are also offering their news coverage to the American public but their credibility has yet to be firmly established because of the Arab abuse of prisoners and dissidents. The Arab media's credibility is damaged by their failure as well as their refusal to publicize and apologize for those abuses, assassinations and terrorism against American Military, diplomatic and civilian personnel worldwide.

Honest San Francisco politician and businessman,( the late) John Barbagelata,and Realtor Richard Bodisco believe along with other civic reformers that "San Francisco! California and the Nation is ready for Renaissance, Renewal and Reform.

This overdue and needed reform can only be spurred along and achieved with the assistance of a media that doesn't lie, distort, omit, censor, conceal, collude or do anything else that denies the public the full unvarnished facts. And in a timely manner. Where are the competent, ethical, hard working newspeople when the world needs them?
