1701 Van Ness-- the 1942 Address--near San Francisco's Japantown-- where Americans of Japanese Ancestry were ordered to Report to prior to Evacuation from San Francisco.



April 1942 Federal Government Instruction to all persons of Japanese ancestry to report to 1701 Van Ness Avenue.

In 2008, ironically, a Japanese Auto manufacturer occupies the infamous site.

Biographical Note:  When  Peter Paul(Verzola) was a member of the ACLU,he supported President Ford's  Presidential Pardon for Rose Toguri Aquino--she married a filipino citizen, who was never permitted to enter the US.

Peter later met Rose Toguri Aquino after President Ford pardoned her.   Peer Paul (Verzola)  also did some volunteer recruiting for the Japanese American Citizen League.
