History of Amicus Veritas
(Latin for friend of the truth)

VERITAS USA!, a San Francisco Bay Area newspaper, was founded in 1989 to circumvent local leftist political media censorship. The VERITAS USA! newspaper was formed by a group of concerned citizens.

Among Veritas USA!’s initial supporters were George Christopher (a former Mayor of San Francisco and special Ambassador for President Eisenhower), General Paul Berrigan (US Army ret.), David Glenn Fowler (a communications consultant for the Federal government), Marguerite Warren (a local civic activist), and journalist Peter Paul (Ver zola).

Peter Paul (Ver zola), Editor and Publisher, is a retired specialized legal researcher and insurance investigator who had also worked as a program analyst and resource developer in a Federal poverty program. As ”Peter Paul” in the media, he was trained at Western Public Radio and KALW FM in San Francisco.

amicusveritas.org is the internet component of VERITAS USA!
