Dianne
Feinstein 's Cover-up of Steven Nary's Abusive Jail Conditions
|
|
|
 |
Since
May of 1996, US Senator from California, Dianne Feinstein had notice of
the civil, human, due process, military status, and rights violations of
US Navy sailor Steven R. Nary.
As Mayor of San Francisco,
she knew first hand of the deplorable conditions of the City's jail at
850 Bryant, but never did anything to improve conditions of confinement
for all pretrial detainees.

Three
and a half years of illegal denial of access to fresh air, sunlight and
outside exercise was covered up by Feinstein, Ryan, Hallinan, Hennesey and
San Francisco's media.
At Guantanumo Navy
base, Afghani detainees were given the legal one hour a day minimum of
outside exercise, and sunlight daily access to showers-Nary was allowed
a shower a week.

Despite
being put on notice by newsman David G. Fowler and other concerned citizens,
Senator Dianne Feinstein was more interested in the conditions of confinement
of suspected Afghani terrorists, who were detained at Guantaunumo Navy Base,
then she was about the three and half years of abuse and rights violations
of Steven Nary, a US Navy sailor, who was illegally detained in San Francisco's
City Jail at 850 Bryant Street. |

In
July, 2002, on a Friday afternoon, and at the summer recess of Congress,
Feinstein sheparded the illegal candidacy of Kevin V Ryan through a rump
session of Congress, in a little publicized congressional process called,
"Unaminous Consent."
"Unaminous Consent"
is a political duplicity in the only remaining members of Congress, who
are on the floor and in the congressional chambers vote for a slate of
nominations and bills, without any debate.

of Information Act, were denied by the Senate Judiciary Committee Staff
Attorney and Clerk, Amy Haywood.)
